On December 9, the "2006 China Rural Auto Market Development Strategy Forum" sponsored by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers and co-organized by the People's Government of Liuzhou City was held in Liuzhou, Guangxi. More than 200 people from automobile companies from all over the country gathered to discuss how to seize opportunities, nurture and develop the rural automobile market, and promote the building of a new socialist countryside.
The forum was chaired by Xu Ping, President of China Association of Automobile Manufacturers and General Manager of Dongfeng Motor Corporation; Jiang Lei, Executive Vice President and Secretary General of China Automotive Industry Association; Hu Xinmin, Honorary President of China Association of Automobile Manufacturers; and Director of Development Research Center of Agricultural Vehicles for Machinery Industry. Shenyang, Gong Renhe, Vice President of Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Group Co., Ltd., and Chen Hongji, Director of the Hubei Xiangfan Automobile Office, made wonderful speeches at the forum.
